Don’t Miss Dr. Beth Sutton at the Arkansas ACS Chapter Meeting

Speaker Highlight: Dr. Beth Sutton

The Arkansas Chapter of the ACS is honored to host Beth Sutton, MD, FACS at the 2024 AR-ACS Annual Meeting and Trauma Society Update. Dr. Beth Sutton is the incoming ACS President, former chair of the Board of Regents, and a practicing surgeon in Wichita Falls, Texas. Beyond her roles with the College, Dr. Sutton is an American Board of Surgery Director, a past president of the Texas Surgical Society, and a past president of the Association of Women Surgeons, as well as a member of several other healthcare organizations. She also is listed among the Best Doctors in America (1996–present).

Dr. Charles Mabry, a Past ACS Officer remarked, regarding Dr. Sutton:

“I have known Beth Sutton, MD FACS for many years, from the time that I served as a Regent with her, and then several years later, when I was first vice-president. She is unique, in that she is still in the private practice of general surgery, still takes calls, but has also risen through the ranks to not only be elected a Regent of the ACS, but was elected chair of the Board, and now the President-Elect. She also serves on the American Board of Surgery and is very active in numerous other ACS committees. Beth is a pleasure to meet and I know that the Fellows of the Chapter will thoroughly enjoy getting to visit with her.”
