General Surgeon Needed for Howard Memorial Hospital

Dear Fellows and Members of the Arkansas Chapter of the ACS,

Howard County in Nashville, Arkansas has asked the Arkansas Hospital Association (AHA) for help in providing some general surgery coverage for the Howard Memorial Hospital and the AHA has, in turn, asked the Arkansas Chapter for help. Our leadership council has agreed and is sending out this email to all of our Fellows and members to see if anyone can help them, even if it is for the short term. The contact information for Ms. Wright is below along with a short description of the duties. Please circulate this opportunity and need to anyone that you think may be able to help them.

A general surgeon who can perform EGD and colonoscopy to cover at least 10 weeks in 2022. The combined caseload of surgery, which is typically draining abscesses, performing appendectomy and cholecystectomy, is around four cases per weekday, seeing patients in the surgery clinic in the afternoon on weekdays and covering call after hours and on the weekends.
