Join the Arkansas Chapter ACS Leadership

The Arkansas Chapter of the American College of Surgeons (AR-ACS) is the only official state chapter of the ACS. AR-ACS provides opportunities for surgeons to benefit at the state and local levels. Participation in the Arkansas ACS Chapter provides invaluable collaboration, resources, and opportunities among surgeons in our state. Benefits to chapter membership include opportunities to build strong professional relationships with surgical peers, participate in advocacy activities at the state and federal levels, attend convenient educational meetings and local CME events, and provides leadership opportunities that can translate to future governance roles within the ACS. Membership also allows a forum to engage and mentor young surgeons and provides opportunities for volunteerism to give back to the surgical profession.

In order to provide these benefits at the local level, it is important for the AR-ACS to have wide-ranging representation from surgical leaders in all geographic regions and practice types. The Arkansas Chapter of the American College of Surgeons is currently seeking self-nominations to fulfill critical positions within the Board of Directors. By participating in a Board of Directors leadership role, you can provide your input on chapter initiatives, collaborate and network with surgeons from all quarters of the state, and have opportunities for further advancement in leadership in the ACS. We hope that you will choose to participate and gain invaluable benefits of leadership in the Arkansas Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. Together, we can make a difference in the present and future of the surgical profession in Arkansas.
